How to use the Waterpik In Mesa, AZ

How to use the Waterpik?

I thought I'd make a video so I can show everybody. This is a Waterpik, similar to the professional Aquarius model. It has a removable dishwasher-safe tape, and comes with a case containing different tips, which might be overwhelming if you don't know which one to use.

Can you show us how to use the Waterpik and its tips?

Sure! This model has an on-off switch on the wand, making it convenient, and the dial goes up to about 10 for good water pressure. The pickpocket tip is a great choice, especially for patients with deeper pockets and hard-to-reach areas. To use it, ensure you get it up and under, into the pocket, then turn it on to irrigate.

How do you ensure you're using the pickpocket tip correctly?

You can't see what you're doing with this, so trace along the gum line. Avoid just spraying in between spaces. Envision getting under the gum tissue into hard-to-reach areas. Studies show it can reach up to five millimeters if used correctly, making it very effective.

Do you have another favorite tip you recommend?

Yes, my other favorite is the plexigrass brush. You can keep this on high speed, unlike the pickpocket tip, which should be used at about halfway on the dial, or setting five.

How do you use the plexigrass brush effectively?

Use it at a 45-degree angle, similar to the pickpocket tip. You have to go by feel as you can't see due to water spraying. It's effective for reaching around the last molar and the inside of teeth. Focus on getting bristles under the gums, though you can change angles to clean between spaces.

Are there any specific areas where the plexigrass brush is especially useful?

It's great for cleaning the lower front teeth, which are difficult to reach. Essentially, you're cleaning one tooth at a time. These two tips are my favorites, and I hope they help you. Get a Waterpik for smoother, healthier gums!
